Everyone in business today must have a nitch or is labeled by others as to what their business is. To say it simply, "We are School Builders." There are two aspects or types of school buildings: the new structures and additions and renovations. We excel in both areas. Our philosophy is if the owner is successful from our efforts then we will ride the tide of success. We are trained from childhood to be builders. We are by providence trained, both educationally and field experience, in all aspects of construction but we specialize in the construction of all facets of school building needs. What sets us apart is for the past twenty five years 90% of our work has been and continues to be the school building industry. What is unique, is that we didn't start with the new school as a whole, but were blessed to construct a classroom addition, add to or renovate a kitchen, renovate the entire structure and over the years build entire new facilities. 

We have experience in traditional design/bid/build and Construction Management at Risk project delievery methods. We have completed over 250 school projects in the last 40+ years totaling over 450 million dollars. We have been in business for 47 years and have a low employee turnover with years of service ranging from one year to 30+ years. Torrance Construction Company has no stated bonding limit. Rick Torrance, TCC President, has over 40 years of construction experience and Mike Pruitt, TCC Vice President, has over 40 years of construction experience. Our job superintendent's have 5 to 40 years of construction experience.

We provide per-construction services for all construction management at risk projects along with scheduling (using Primavera Scheduling Software), budgeting, quality assurance, and safety. We provide the owner with a detailed schedule of how and when the project will be completed. We conduct monthly job site quality and performance meetings along with work performance inspections. We feel that a large portion of the qualified work force needed to complete a project can be found in the local communities where the projects are located. We believe in giving back to the community for allowing us to provide them with a quality built educational facility. We pride ourselves in providing a safe and hazard free work place.
